Sports Cards

Sports cards are a big part of this site, but not in the usual “best rookie cards to buy” way.

This category looks at the real collecting side of cards: Topps boxes, rookie cards, numbered parallels, sticker autographs, relic cards, die-cuts, grading results, PSA risks, damaged cards, and cards that looked better at first than they turned out to be later.

Some articles are about specific cards I bought, graded, sold, or still own. Others are about broader hobby problems, like why thick patch cards are difficult to grade, why a good player can still be the wrong card, or why box hits are not always as strong as they look on social media.

The goal is simple: understand the card behind the name. A great player does not automatically make a great card. The set, condition, autograph type, scarcity, grade, and actual collector demand all matter.
