Prices for Shohei Ohtani memorabilia seem to be moving in only one direction. Since his historic 50/50 regular season in 2024—50 home runs and 50 stolen bases—values have surged significantly. Super short print cards and even standard refractor cards graded PSA 10 are now fetching around $500 or more. That’s one side of the story. The obvious question is: is it still worth getting in now? Paying $500 for a single card means it still needs substantial upside to become a worthwhile investment. Let’s take a closer look.
- Exclusive Memorabilia Deal:
Shohei Ohtani signed an exclusive memorabilia deal with Fanatics in 2023. The deal grants Fanatics exclusive rights to produce and distribute Ohtani’s autographed memorabilia, ensuring fans have access to authentic and high-quality collectibles. This partnership further solidifies Ohtani’s position as one of baseball’s most marketable players.
- Leaf As Game Changer?
There is, however, a small niche worth watching. Before his mega deal with Fanatics, Shohei Ohtani also signed for Leaf products, mostly sticker autographs, dual cards, and similar formats.
Leaf has traditionally received less attention and is generally less in demand among collectors than Topps. But the exclusive deal changes that dynamic at least a little. While a signed Topps Ohtani usually costs at least 4,000 dollars, Ohtani Leaf autographs can still be found for around 2,000 dollars and in some cases even for 1,600 dollars. That means there is still a relatively affordable way to get a genuine Ohtani autograph.
One possible question is whether collectors might eventually start viewing these Leaf signatures differently because they represent a cheaper entry point into a market with increasingly limited autograph supply.
The idea of removing a sticker autograph and placing it onto a Topps card is where things become complicated. From a grading perspective, PSA would very likely view such a card as altered. Once a card has been modified from its original condition, especially through sticker removal or reapplication, it would likely lose eligibility for a standard grade and could be rejected or labeled as altered instead.
- Some Real Price Examples for Shohei Ohtani Cards
The pricing of Shohei Ohtani’s sports memorabilia varies depending on the item’s significance and rarity. Here are some examples:
- Autographed Jerseys: A signed Shohei Ohtani Angels jersey can range from $500 to $1,500, depending on factors such as the jersey’s condition, authentication, and whether it is a limited edition or game-worn version.
- Autographed Baseballs: A signed baseball by Shohei Ohtani typically falls within the price range of $300 to $600. The value may increase based on additional inscriptions, such as “AL Rookie of the Year” or “2021 All-Star.”
- Autographed Bats: A signed Ohtani bat commands a higher price, ranging from $700 to $1,200. Factors influencing the price include the bat’s model, condition, and any unique inscriptions or personalizations.
- Autographed Photographs: Signed photographs of Ohtani can be found in the $200 to $400 range, depending on the size, framing, and significance of the image.
- Baseball Cards:
In addition to traditional sports memorabilia, baseball cards featuring Shohei Ohtani have become highly sought after by collectors. Some of Ohtani’s most expensive baseball cards include the following:
- 2018 Bowman Chrome Superfractor Autograph: One of the rarest Ohtani cards, this masterpiece has been known to fetch prices exceeding $100,000 in auctions due to its scarcity and autograph.
- 2018 Topps Chrome Update Refractor Autograph: Another highly desirable card, this limited edition Ohtani autograph card can range in price from $15,000 to $30,000, depending on its condition and grading.
- 2021 Topps Chrome Sapphire Superfractor Autograph: Released after Ohtani’s breakout 2021 season, this card features his signature and can be valued at around $20,000 to $40,000, depending on market demand.

At the very top end of the market, prices have already reached levels that are out of reach for many collectors and investors. But let’s focus on a highly popular card that is currently generating a lot of buzz. The Shohei Ohtani All Aces 2023 Topps.
As recently as December 2025, this card was trading in the 80 to 100 dollar range. That is long gone. A PSA 10 copy is now valued by Professional Sports Authenticator itself at around 604 dollars.
This follows a familiar pattern in the collectibles market. The more attention a player’s memorabilia and trading cards receive, especially driven by record breaking sales, the more momentum builds across the entire market. As a result, even what were once considered affordable cards begin to rise sharply in value.
It is very likely that Shohei Ohtani prices could eventually move into a similar range as those of Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. A key factor will be how much Ohtani continues to sign. Through his deal with Fanatics, which also owns Topps, the supply of autographs has already declined significantly. That naturally tightens the market.
You can see the impact clearly with Michael Jordan. He has an exclusive agreement with Upper Deck and rarely signs. Finding a Jordan autograph for under 2500 dollars is nearly impossible and even that level would be considered a bargain.
With Tom Brady, the situation is slightly different. His deal with TriStar Productions has expired and he still signs at card shows. He has also entered the memorabilia business himself. As a result, prices have remained relatively stable, with a slight tendency to soften.
